From sweet Mass wine to an intriguing discovery, I’m now loved by Langhe’s winemakers!
I’ve been around since at least 1605, making me one of Piedmont’s most historic grapes. A close relative of the southern Italian Greco grape, I thrive in the Canavese area, producing elegant wines suited for sparkling, dry, and sweet styles.
Let me introduce myself: my berries are large, spherical, and yellow-green in color, with a lovely glow that matches my name!
Where do I thrive? I grow across Piedmont, as well as in Lombardy and Valle d’Aosta, but I’m most widespread in the provinces of Turin, Vercelli, Biella, and Novara.
Here I give my best: The Canavese area is where I truly shine, delivering my finest expressions.

Where do I shine? You can find me in 1 DOCG, 4 DOC, and 10 IGT wines.
My signature wine
Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG, Colline Novaresi Bianco DOC, Coste della Sesia Bianco DOC, Canavese Bianco DOC.
Did you know? All these wines must use 100% Erbaluce grapes, showcasing my unique personality.
